Luke Garrod
Luke is a Chemical Engineer by training who has carved out a niche where few engineers operate comfortably — the seam between IT and OT. He is equally at home specifying a control philosophy on a process plant, scripting tag logic in an Ignition gateway, or tuning a SQL Server instance powering a manufacturing analytics platform.
Beyond the plant floor, Luke brings deep expertise in systems architecture and project management, and supports the team with a strong working knowledge of IT systems and security — making him a go-to for the design and stewardship of integrated solutions end-to-end.
That breadth makes Luke unusually effective on the kinds of projects Next Integration takes on: bridging shop-floor instrumentation up through historians, MES, and reporting layers, without ever losing sight of the underlying chemistry and physics that make the plant run. Clients value his calm, methodical approach to troubleshooting, and the rare ability to translate fluently between operations, IT, and engineering teams.
Luke works across Next Integration’s flagship platforms — Ignition, Canary Historian, and Flow Software — and is a key contributor on the company’s most technically demanding deployments.
